Community Arts
I have wide experience teaching and facilitating
arts workshops in schools, colleges and the community.
I bring
a cross-cultural focus to my educational practise, which also offers
cross-curricular applications. I aim to inspire participants to
explore creative and positive forms of self-expression, to promote
positive self-image. Support and encourage trust, interaction and
the development of relationships that acknowledge and respect each
individual's contribution
Methods and media
Working with
small groups (10-12 participants) I will work with a range of methods
including and media accross art forms:
- Drawing and
painting and intuitive clay work
- Ephemeral
'Mandala' creation inspired by different cultural traditions
- Sound and
Movement, exploring the senses
- Stories
and myths from different cultures
- Connecting
to the seasons and the natural environment
- Creative
visualisation and active imagination
- Collaborative
